Silent Gliss System 6870 Uncorded Aluminium Curtain Track – compatible with wave curtains – square profile

A neat attractive curtain track suitable for medium weight curtains and compatible with the wave curtain heading available in 6 contemporary colours.  An upgrade to roller gliders makes the track suitable for heavier curtains so please select ‘roller gliders’ if your curtains are on the heavy side.  Purpose designed for ceiling fixing but face fix brackets are also available. This track has the same appearance from both sides so is suitable as a room divider.  This track has a square profile. If you prefer a rounded profile please consider the Silent Gliss 6840 hand drawn curtain track.  This track is supplied with 14 of the new 2C standard gliders per metre or 10 roller gliders per metre as standard.  If you are choosing wave gliders the track will come with the calculated number of wave gliders for your track length.  This track comes complete with gliders, brackets, end stops and fixings.

This track is also suitable for the popular wave heading system. The wave gliders are evenly spaced either 80mm or 60mm apart and give a neat fold on your curtains for a stylish finish. Please note you do need to use specific wave heading tape so the wave gliders are not suitable for curtains with other heading types such as pinch pleat or pencil pleat. Please click here for more information on the Wave system.

Leadtime: 3-4 working days.

This curtain track will be supplied with the nylon style wall fix bracket (only available in white), or top fix clamp style brackets as standard when the track is ordered with standard or roller gliders.

If you are ordering the track with wave gliders the top fix clamp style bracket will be supplied for ceiling fixing.  This gives a lovely flush fit to the ceiling.  If wall fixing the Silent Gliss smart fix brackets will be supplied.  The 80mm bracket will be supplied with 60mm wave gliders and the 100mm bracket will be supplied with 80mm wave gliders.  This is to ensure the track sits far enough away from the wall for the wave to fold without touching the wall.

To calculate the number of brackets you will receive with your track as standard take your track length divide it by 67, round it up and add 1.  For example on a 200cm track you will receive 4 brackets (200/67, rounded up + 1).

This track is available to order with the new 2C standard gliders (that are even quieter than the old standard gliders), roller gliders or wave gliders.  14 2C (standard) gliders are supplier per metre and 10 roller gliders are supplier as standard per metre.  The number of wave gliders required will be calculated on the track length ordered.

How to measure and order:

  1. We recommend you measure along your walls / windows.  Add the measurements together along all the sides of your bay to get a total track length.  We will then project the track accordingly depending on the brackets ordered with the track.
  2. If you know the angles we don’t require the cross diagonal measurements (these are shown on the form attached), however we recommend you supply the measurement across the front of the bay as this is a cross check the angles are correct.  If you don’t know the angles please supply the cross diagonal measurements required (shown on the form) and our software will work out the angles.
  3. Place your order through the website.  The order process takes you step by step through your purchase.
  4. Once we receive your order we will run the diagram through our software.  If any of the measurements are outside of our tolerance we will get in touch and ask you to remeasure.

Get the ‘wave’ look!

The wave heading is a contemporary curtain heading style that is now widely seen in showhomes and is gaining in popularity.  The wave system offers a more contemporary, neat and stylish curtain presentation to more traditional curtain headings such as pencil pleat or pinch pleat. The finished appearance is similar to that of eyelet curtains but the fabric hangs directly below the curtain track in a neat and uniform style.

Wave has some key advantages over more traditional curtain headings:

  • Minimised curtain stack
  • Simple curtain dressing
  • Form throughout the curtain drop
  • Minimalist appearance
  • Suits traditional and modern interiors
  • Compatible with pelmets

The ‘wave’ effect is suitable for voiles and curtains and is created through combining a specially designed heading tape and Wave glider-cord to get a soft and simple continuous wave effect. When opened the curtains stack back neatly and straight and when closed the fabric hangs in a smooth continuous wave effect.  Please view our YouTube video that explains this in more detail.

To achieve the ‘wave’ look you will need to order a track that is compatible with wave gliders.  We have classified our tracks as ‘suitable for wave curtains’ to help you shop.

You will then need to purchase ‘wave’ curtains.  Shop our range of wave curtains here.  Wave curtains are made using a specific wave heading tape  to achieve the wave look.  Readymade wave curtains are not available as a wave curtain needs to be specially made to fit your track length.  The amount of fabric and gliders required are all calculated based on the track length so the make up of wave curtains is very mathematical!  If you are making your own wave curtains for the first time and have any questions please give me a call on 01590 615775 and I will be happy to give you some advice.  You will find all the wave curtain accessories here.

We offer free delivery on all orders over £97.50.  There is a £7.95 delivery charge on orders under this value.  Please refer to our delivery Ts and Cs for a full breakdown of our delivery charges.

LEADTIMES:

The leadtimes vary depending on the product ordered.  Please refer to the Leadtime on the product specification tab for information on the particular product you are looking at.  If the product is available on  a ’Next working day’ service this applies to all orders received up to 6pm.  Please note there is a 4pm cut off for any Jones products.  Any orders placed over the weekend will be dispatched on the Monday for delivery to you on the Tuesday.

Please note the next working day service is subject to stock availability.  If there are any stock shortages we will notify you immediately and work with you to find a suitable solution to meet your requirements. If you don’t want delivery the next day please call us on 01590 615775 to place your order over the phone and we and we can set up delivery for your nominated day.

Whilst we will endeavour to fulfil our delivery promises once the goods leave our warehouse we do rely on 3rd parties to fulfil their obligations.  We therefore recommend that a fitter isn’t booked until the goods are safely in your hands and have been checked for damage and any missing items.  We cannot be held responsible for any fitter cancellations.

We hope that you are delighted with your purchase.  In the event that you are not and would like to return your goods we accept returns (except for made to measure products which cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty) within 30 days of delivery.

There is an £18 collection charge to return curtain pole or curtain track orders. We appreciate this is a lot of money but this is what our couriers charge us. Curtain poles and tracks are classified as ‘oversized’ items and so they incur a premium for handling long parcels.

If you would like to return curtain pole accessories or curtain track spare parts these can be returned by Royal Mail or a carrier of your choice.  Please return smaller items to: The Home Of Interiors, The Design Hub, 41 Brookley Road, Brockenhurst, Hampshire, SO42 7RB.

To return and obtain a refund (excluding delivery costs) please email us at sales@thehomeofinteriors.co.uk or give us a call us on 01590 615775. We will then contact you to organise the collection / return. Failure to notify us may result in no refund or an additional cost to forward your returned item/s to the correct address.

Any products you return will be at your own cost and the goods must be in the same condition which they were received.  The goods must be in their original packaging.  The goods are your responsibility until they reach us so please make sure any returned items are very well packaged to avoid damage while in transit. Please ensure the returns reference, which will have been emailed to you, is clearly marked on the outside of the parcel.  We recommend you use the outer packaging the goods were delivered in.

If on receipt of the goods we inspect them and conclude that they are not in the same condition they were sent out in we will not be able to provide a refund. We will notify you if this is the case.

The refund, minus the original delivery charge and minus the collection charge, is usually actioned within a week of the items being returned but it can take up to 30 days. The refund will be made back to the account that the original purchase was made from.
