Silent Gliss 3870 Corded Curtain Track – suitable for wave curtains – square profile
The Silent Gliss 3870 Curtain Track is a neat attractive curtain track suitable for medium weight curtains and compatible with the wave curtain heading. An upgrade to roller gliders makes the track suitable for heavier curtains so please select ‘roller gliders’ if your curtains are on the heavy side. Purpose designed for ceiling fixing but face fix brackets are also available. This track has the same appearance from both sides so is suitable as a room divider. The track profile is a square shaped. If you would prefer a rounder profile please consider the Silent Gliss 3840 corded curtain track. If you need a track to be corded both sides you will need the 3840 as there is no intermediate pulley currently available for this track.
This track is supplied with 14 of the new 2C standard gliders per metre or 10 roller gliders per metre as standard. If you are choosing wave gliders the track will come with the calculated number of wave gliders for your track length. This track comes complete with gliders, brackets, end stops and fixings.
This track is also suitable for the popular wave heading system. The wave gliders are evenly spaced either 80mm or 60mm apart and give a neat fold on your curtains for a stylish finish. Please note you do need to use specific wave heading tape so the wave gliders are not suitable for curtains with other heading types such as pinch pleat or pencil pleat. Please click here for more information on the Wave system.
We also sell wave curtains. Please click here for more information.
This track is suitable for bay or L shaped windows, however we do need to bend the tracks for you. Please download our measurement form here.
This product is made to order so there is a 3-4 working day lead-time.
Please note these tracks are all made to measure and cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty.
Recess Fitting
This track is suitable for recess fitting so can be concealed in your ceiling for a sleek, polished look. This looks great for floor to ceiling length curtains. Please note the recess profile is only available in white. You will however only see the flanges on the recess profile once installed and a small section of the underside of the track. The recess profile can also be bent for shaped windows to a 50cm bend radius.

Please download our bay or L shaped window measurement form here.
How to measure and order:
- We recommend you measure along your walls / windows. Add the measurements together along all the sides of your bay to get a total track length. We will then project the track accordingly depending on the brackets ordered with the track.
- If you know the angles we don’t require the cross diagonal measurements (these are shown on the form attached), however we recommend you supply the measurement across the front of the bay as this is a cross check the angles are correct. If you don’t know the angles please supply the cross diagonal measurements required (shown on the form) and our software will work out the angles.
- Place your order through the website. The order process takes you step by step through your purchase.
- Once we receive your order we will run the diagram through our software. If any of the measurements are outside of our tolerance we will get in touch and ask you to remeasure.
Measuring Guide for a Curtain Track:
Decide where the track is to be positioned. This is usually above the window with the track extending either side beyond the window.
Step 1: Measure the width of your window.
Step 2: The chart below provides guidance for making an allowance either side of your window for your curtain stack (shown as ‘B’ on the diagram above). This is particularly important if you want the curtains to clear the glazing when open. Please note the curtain heading, fabric thickness and lining specification will affect the width of the stack back. How much you would like the curtains to clear the window is down to personal preference. The chart below is however a good guide.
Step 3: Add the width of your window onto the B measurement (x2 for a pair of curtains) to give you a finished track length (A).
Recess Fitting
If you are fitting your track wall to wall or within a recess we recommend you take the wall to wall measurement and deduct 1cm for hand drawn and corded tracks to ensure the track can be fitted easily within the recess. For motorised tracks we recommend you deduct 2cm from your wall to wall measurement to ensure enough space to fit the curtain around the motor.

Measuring Curtain Track lengths for Wave Curtains
If you are opting for a wave curtain the stack back is a mathematical calculation. A curtain stacks back 18cm per metre of curtain track with an 80mm wave heading, and 23cm per metre of track with a 60mm wave heading.
Please see the example below:
On a 3m track for a pair of curtains with an 80mm wave the stack back will be 3m x 18cm = 54cm / 2 = 27cm each side.
For a single curtain the curtain will stack 54cm one side.
On a 3m track for a pair of curtains with a 60mm wave the stack back will be 3m x 23cm = 69cm / 2 = 34.5cm each side.
For a single curtain the curtain will stack 69cm one side.
Wave curtains are particularly popular over bi-fold or sliding doors or over large expanses of floor to ceiling glass. If there is wall space to the side of the glazing the track length can be worked out so the curtain neatly sits on the side wall(s) clearing the glazing to allow the light to flood into your room.

Please view our Wave Curtain Information page for more information on the wave curtain heading style.

We cannot be held responsible for any fitter cancellations.
We hope that you are delighted with your purchase. We do recommend paint sample pots, wallpaper and fabric swatches are ordered prior to ordering the full sized items. We can also send out ring samples, colour toggles or off cuts of curtain poles / tracks to ensure the colour is right before you commit to order. Please email sales@thehomeofinteriors.co.uk to request a sample. Please note made to order / measure / cut to size products cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty. There is an £20 collection charge to return curtain pole or curtain track orders. We appreciate this is a lot of money but this is what our couriers charge us. Curtain poles and tracks are classified as ‘oversized’ items and so they incur a premium for handling long parcels.
If you would like to return curtain pole accessories or curtain track spare parts these can be returned by Royal Mail or a carrier of your choice. Please return smaller items to: The Home Of Interiors, 19 Brookley Road, Brockenhurst, Hampshire, SO42 7RR.
To return and obtain a refund (excluding delivery costs) please email us at sales@thehomeofinteriors.co.uk or give us a call us on 01590 615775. We will then contact you to organise the collection / return. Failure to notify us may result in no refund or an additional cost to forward your returned item/s to the correct address.
Any products you return will be at your own cost and the goods must be in the same condition which they were received. The goods must be in their original packaging. The goods are your responsibility until they reach us so please make sure any returned items are very well packaged to avoid damage while in transit. Please ensure the returns reference, which will have been emailed to you, is clearly marked on the outside of the parcel. We recommend you use the outer packaging the goods were delivered in.
If on receipt of the goods we inspect them and conclude that they are not in the same condition they were sent out in we will not be able to provide a refund. We will notify you if this is the case.
The refund, minus the original delivery charge and minus the collection charge, is usually actioned within a week of the items being returned but it can take up to 30 days. The refund will be made back to the account that the original purchase was made from.
