Jones Florentine Tracked 48mm Handcrafted Wooden Curtain Poles
This 48mm range of Jones handcrafted curtain poles encompasses style and elegance using traditional finishes applied by their skilled craftsmen. The poles are all stained and painted by hand to deliver a truly stunning range of curtain poles. The variety of colours and finial styles available in the range offers the versatility for the products to be suitable in a variety of interior design styles and colour schemes. This curtain pole is supplied with a track insert offering the functionality benefit of a curtain track with the aesthetic beauty of a handcrafted wooden curtain pole.
Glider Options
Standard gliders (suitable for pencil pleat, other taped and pinch pleat curtains) are available for both the hand drawn and corded operation. 80mm wave gliders are also available when specifying a hand drawn pole. Pole Lengths
Hand drawn poles are available up to 6m. For a corded operation the maximum pole length is 3m.
Curtain Pole Contents
This 48mm curtain pole comes as a complete curtain pole set including pole(s), track insert, 2 end cap finials, wooden clasp style brackets, cords if specified and gliders. Poles over 3000cm (for hand drawn operation only) are supplied in 2 pieces and are only suitable for a pair of curtains.
These curtains poles are all made to order so can be made to your exact size.
Brackets
As standard 3 brackets are supplied on poles up to 300cm. 400cm poles come with 5 brackets and 600cm poles are supplied with 7 brackets. Additional clasp brackets can be ordered separately if required. We recommend the brackets are positioned evenly along the track with a centre bracket supporting any joins.
Co-ordinating holdbacks are also available.

Poles up to 300cm are supplied as a single pole. Poles over 300cm are supplied in 2 pieces with a joining screw to connect the 2 poles. The joining screw goes inside the poles so is hidden and the centre bracket supports the join.

Curtain Heading Recommendations
A 48mm curtain pole works exceptionally well with tall ceilings or extra wide windows and with heavy fabrics. Floor length, interlined curtains complement the wide diameter of this pole to deliver an opulent, yet well proportioned look.
Readymade pencil pleat curtains are suitable, however made to measure curtains that can be interlined are more suited to the look of this pole to deliver a real wow statement at your window.
Double or Triple Pinch Pleat Heading
A double or triple pinch pleat curtain heading is a popular choice with floor length, inter-lined, curtains that will drape beautifully. A double pinch pleat offers a more modern look, with a triple pinch pleat delivering a window dressing that is timeless and luxurious.

Measuring Guide for a Curtain Pole:
Decide where the pole is to be positioned. This is usually above the window with the pole extending either side beyond the window.
Step 1: Measure the width of your window.
Step 2: The chart below provides guidance for making an allowance either side of your window for your curtain stack (shown as ‘B’ on the diagram above). This is particularly important if you want the curtains to clear the glazing when open. Please note the curtain heading, fabric thickness and lining specification will affect the width of the stack back. How much you would like the curtains to clear the window is down to personal preference. The chart below is however a good guide.
Step 3: Add the width of your window onto the B measurement (x2 for a pair of curtains) to give you a finished pole length (A).
Please note this is just a guide so we recommend choosing the pole length available within your preferred curtain pole range that best suits your requirements. All poles can be cut to size with a junior hacksaw. We offer a cut to size service on the Jones Handcrafted range.

Whilst we will endeavour to fulfil our delivery promises once the goods leave our warehouse we do rely on 3rd parties to fulfil their obligations. We therefore recommend that a fitter or decorator isn’t booked until the goods are safely in your hands and have been checked for damage and any missing items.
