Client Brief
It was a pleasure helping a client with these stunning windowsill length wave curtains for their beautiful living space. They came to us looking for a window dressing that would make the room feel warm and cosy without obstructing the light flowing into the room.
Curtain Heading
Two pairs of 80mm wave curtains were specified for this project to dress both windows in the room. The wave curtain heading is a popular choice, offering a neat, contemporary and polished look. It also provides a nice, slim stack back when open, fitting the brief perfectly to avoid blocking the light and detracting from the beautiful views outside. Hung on a Silent Gliss track within the window recess, our client opted for a pair of curtains that would meet in the middle when drawn, producing a slim curtain stack either side of the windows for a balanced look.
Fabric Choice
Both sets of curtains were made up in the Prestigious Textiles Stamford fabric – colour ref Grass. A versatile plain with an understated, lightly textured finish, this fabric is soft to touch and available across an extensive palette of muted, on-trend shades. With a standard lining, these curtains offset the windows beautifully.
The fabric also pairs perfectly with the feature wall, painted in the Little Greene Light Bronze Green (123) paint. This helps to create a complementary scheme that flows throughout the space and ties the look together.
Overview
Our client was delighted with the end result. The windowsill length wave curtains were exactly what they were looking for, finishing off the room in a way that keeps it bright and airy without obscuring the beautiful views.
