Please advise which curtain track the curtains will be hung on.

Please let us know if you would like any reference putting on the curtains so you can recognise them when they are delivered for example: Lounge curtains large window. This can be useful if you are ordering several curtains!

Silent Gliss introduced the unique ‘wave’ curtain heading system that turns traditional curtains into a striking modern design statement. As an alternative to traditional curtain headings such as pencil pleat, pinch pleat or goblet, the wave system offers a more contemporary, neat and stylish curtain presentation. The finished appearance is similar to that of eyelet curtains but the fabric hangs directly below the track in a neat and uniform style.

The ‘wave’ effect is created through combining a specially designed heading tape and Wave glider-cord to get a soft and simple continuous wave effect. When opened the curtains stack back neatly and straight and when closed the fabric hangs in a smooth continuous wave effect.

Please view our YouTube video that explains this in more detail.

Why choose Wave Curtains?

  • The curtains maintain a structured form throughout the drop giving a neat and stylish look to your curtains
  • Minimal and contemporary in appearance
  • Reduced curtain stack depth maximising the light
  • Versatile – can be installed with pelmets
  • Can be made in a continuous fabric width when using the Silent Gliss fabrics so there are no seams in your curtains

You can order the full range of Silent Gliss fabrics from this page, with fabrics offering different levels of shading, textures and technical properties.  If you are interested in learning more about these technical fabrics, please take a look at our blog post.  If you are looking for wave curtains form the other fabric brands we deal with, then please give us a call to discuss your requirements and we will endeavour to provide a price on the same day.

We can also supply curtains using standard headings such as pencil pleat.  The prices for the Silent Gliss fabrics are the same as for wave curtains, so please select your fabric, width and drop for a price.  Please take a look at our Wave Curtains page for more information on the fabrics.

Some comments on ordering:

  • Please note the curtain should be made to your track length so the width of your wave curtains should be the same as the width of your track.
  • With regards to the drop we advise you take a right hand, centre and left hand measurement and supply the shortest.  Hopefully there won’t be too much difference, if any, between the measurements!  For wall fixing please measure from the top of the track to the floor.  For ceiling / recess fitting please measure from the top of the ceiling / recess to the floor.
  • If you provide outside recess measurements a deduction will be made for the track profile and the glider, for inside recess measurements a deduction will be made for the track profile, the glider and also a 9mm floor clearance.
  • The difference between the 80mm and 60mm wave is the distance between the gliders on the track.  The 80mm glider provides a deeper wave  and a 60mm glider gives you a shallower wave.
  • An 80mm wave gives you a narrower stack back which can be beneficial if you want your curtain to clear a door or window.  The stack back on an 80mm wave is approximately 18cm per metre, and the stack back on a 60mm wave is approximately 23cm per metre.
  • The depth of the wave is then determined by the hook spacing.  The depth of the wave goes up in 4 sizes:
    • a 60mm wave with 100 hook spacing gives the shallowest wave
    • then a 60mm wave with 120 hook spacing gives the deepest wave with the 60mm gliders
    • an 80mm wave with 140 hook spacing gives a shallower 80mm wave
    • and an 80mm wave with 160 hook spacing gives the deepest wave.

The wave glider spacing is explained in more detail in the Silent Gliss Workroom Guide.

Whilst we will endeavour to fulfil our delivery promises once the goods leave our warehouse we do rely on 3rd parties to fulfil their obligations.  We therefore recommend that a fitter isn’t booked until the goods are safely in your hands and have been checked for damage and any missing items.  We cannot be held responsible for any fitter cancellations.

We hope that you are delighted with your purchase.  In the event that you are not and would like to return your goods we accept returns (except for made to measure products which cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty) within 30 days of delivery.

There is an £18 collection charge to return curtain pole or curtain track orders. We appreciate this is a lot of money but this is what our couriers charge us. Curtain poles and tracks are classified as ‘oversized’ items and so they incur a premium for handling long parcels.

If you would like to return curtain pole accessories or curtain track spare parts these can be returned by Royal Mail or a carrier of your choice.  Please return smaller items to: The Home Of Interiors, The Design Hub, 41 Brookley Road, Brockenhurst, Hampshire, SO42 7RB.

To return and obtain a refund (excluding delivery costs) please email us at or give us a call us on 01590 615775. We will then contact you to organise the collection / return. Failure to notify us may result in no refund or an additional cost to forward your returned item/s to the correct address.

Any products you return will be at your own cost and the goods must be in the same condition which they were received.  The goods must be in their original packaging.  The goods are your responsibility until they reach us so please make sure any returned items are very well packaged to avoid damage while in transit. Please ensure the returns reference, which will have been emailed to you, is clearly marked on the outside of the parcel.  We recommend you use the outer packaging the goods were delivered in.

If on receipt of the goods we inspect them and conclude that they are not in the same condition they were sent out in we will not be able to provide a refund. We will notify you if this is the case.

The refund, minus the original delivery charge and minus the collection charge, is usually actioned within a week of the items being returned but it can take up to 30 days. The refund will be made back to the account that the original purchase was made from.
