The Beauty of Wave Curtains?
Wave curtains provide a sleek, modern aesthetic, characterised by their uniform, flowing folds that add a touch of elegance to any interior. Their design allows for a neat stack when open, maximising natural light, and their consistent wave pattern creates a sense of visual harmony. Unlike traditional curtains, wave curtains offer a minimalist look, often utilising discreet tracks that keep the focus on the fabric’s drape, making them a versatile choice for contemporary and classic spaces alike.

Wide Width Fabrics
Wide width fabrics are ideal for wave curtains because they minimise, and often eliminate, the need for vertical seams. This enables the fabric to maintain the seamless, flowing aesthetic that wave curtains are known for. Seams can disrupt the uniform wave pattern and create visual breaks in the fabric’s drape, detracting from the overall elegance. Using a single, wide piece of fabric ensures a smooth, uninterrupted flow of material, enhancing the curtain’s luxurious look and allowing the wave formation to be perfectly showcased.
If you are making your own wave curtains a wide width fabric will make the process easier as you won’t need to join fabric widths together.
Please note a seamless finish can only be achieved with a wide width fabric if the drop on your curtains is less than the fabric width.
Shop our extensive range of wide width fabrics including sheers / voiles, semi-sheers, standard, dim-out and blackout fabrics.

We sell a wide range of linings including, standard, blackout and thermal linings. The Newbury blackout and Pembroke striped linings can be purchased by the metre, along with the premium Jones Sateen lining which makes the lining more economical for most domestic projects.

Silent Gliss Wave Heading and Hemming Tapes
The Secret Ingredient: Silent Gliss Heading Tape

Its precisely spaced pockets ensure consistent pleating, resulting in a perfectly uniform wave. This tape is a favourite among professional curtain makers for its quality and reliability.

The Silent Gliss wave hemming tape gives a professional finish to the top of the curtains, and helps the fabric to deliver the beautiful wave shape. It is an iron on tape for ease and convenience.
Silent Gliss Curtain Weights
We sell the Silent Gliss lead weight and side weights.
The Silent Gliss lead weight is a popular choice for lightweight sheers and voiles to add weight to the bottom of the curtain encouraging the fabric to hang straight. The lead weight is sewn into the hem at the bottom of the curtains.
Side weights are more popular for heavier, lined curtains and are sewn into the vertical hem of each corner of your curtain to help the curtain hang straight and prevent the edges from creeping inwards.
