Silent Gliss Motorised Roller Blind System 4960

This is the bestselling Silent Gliss roller blind system featuring unrivalled quiet and fast movement and conveniently stops at any position by a soft stop function.  The 4960 motorised roller blind is suitable for medium weight blinds up to 2.4m wide x 4m drop with a 5.5kg weight capacity.  The blind can be controlled with a wall switch or other Silent Gliss radio controls.  Integration with home automation systems is also possible.

For a motorised system for medium to heavyweight blinds we would recommend the Silent Gliss Motorised Roller Blind 4970 system.

Double System Options

Double connected blinds – The blind can be specified as a double connected system where two blinds are mounted side by side (perfect for really wide windows). The double version uses a slimline centre support bracket to minimise the light gap.   This double connected system does connect the blinds, so only a single motor is required.  The blinds can be different sizes as long as the largest blind does not exceed 240cm.  This is all specified during the ordering process.

Side by side Blinds – The two blinds operate independently but use a double centre bracket to reduce the light gap. To order side by side blinds (double motors), purchase two blinds with the combined finished width equal to the total system width and add a note in the comments section to specify its part of a side by side system and if it is the left or right blind. We will supply with double blind fittings and the additional 10632 intermediate cover.

Please note: all blinds over 240cm are supplied as a double system.

 

Smart Shading

Blinds integrated into a Smart Home control system with the Silent Gliss Smart technology, can utilise the Up Synchro feature. Up-Synchro enables Silent Gliss roller blinds to synchronise their travel when ascending so that they move together with the bottom bars aligned.

Test Leads
Reasons for ordering a test lead:

If hard wiring is not already in place, a test lead allows you to set up, test and commission the product without the electrician being there to hard wire the product into the mains – as test leads are supplied with a 3 pin plug.

Test leads are also a useful tool if you need to reset the limits (stopping positions) and you are not using Silent Gliss radio controls. In most cases, limits are factory set, but the factory limits are set based on assumptions and tweaking may be needed on site.

Examples of where a test lead would avoid problems:

Roman: Factory limits are set, however these limits often need to be reset, as the blind is not attached when the head rail is made. The weight of fabric can affect the limits. If there is no hard wiring in place, you will need a test lead and 3 pin plug socket available to supply power to the headrail.

Electric track: The limits on electric tracks can usually be set using wireless controls or by using the buttons on the motor. If there is no hard wiring in place, you will need a test lead and 3 pin plug socket available to supply power to the headrail.

Roller: If the fabric is not in the correct position when the blind is mounted to the brackets, you will need to reset the limits. Operating the blind without reseting the limits could potentially causing damage to the fabric, if limit is set to high. If there is no hard wiring in place, you will need a test lead and 3 pin plug socket available to supply power to the headrail.

Once an order has been placed and processed our customer service team will be in touch via email to advise a dispatch date and send a tracking link if available.  The lead-time information on all products is advised in the product description or product specification tabs on the product pages.  If you’d like us to check stock or advise delivery timings for a specific product please give us a call on 01590 615775 and a member of the team will be delighted to help.

Whilst we will endeavour to fulfil our delivery promises once the goods leave our warehouse we do rely on 3rd parties to fulfil their obligations.  We therefore recommend that a fitter or decorator isn’t booked until the goods are safely in your hands and have been checked for damage and any missing items.  We cannot be held responsible for any fitter or decorator cancellations.

Prior to ordering!
