Pole length information: pole lengths exclude finials.  Poles up to and including the 240cm length are supplied in one piece with 2 brackets.  Poles over 240cm are supplied in 2 pieces with a double ended joining screw and additional bracket to support the join in the centre.

Contents: this 45mm curtain pole set comes complete with 2 finials of your choice, pole(s), brackets and rings. You can choose between standard  wooden cup style brackets (colour matched to your pole set) or metal brackets available in chrome, antique brass or polished brass.  Additional brackets and rings can be added to your pole and can be specified when ordering.

• These poles cannot be bent by hand.
• These poles are suitable for heavy weight curtains 11kg+.

Curtain Heading Recommendations

These curtain poles are suitable for all curtain heading types, however for a smoother draw eyelet curtains are better suited to a metal curtain pole.  This product isn’t suitable for eyelet curtains as the eyelets may damage the paint finish.

Curtain headings that require curtain rings such as a pencil pleat, pinch pleat or other gathered headings, are a more popular choice on a wooden curtain pole.  Shop our range of readymade pencil pleat curtains including iconic and more contemporary designs from leading homeware brand Laura Ashley.

Made to Measure Curtains:

Readymade curtains are only suitable for curtain poles up to 360cm.  If you require curtains to fit a wider pole, or you have a drop longer than the standard readymade drops made to measure curtains are the perfect choice.

Measuring Guide for a Curtain Pole:

Decide where the pole is to be positioned.  This is usually above the window with the pole extending either side beyond the window.

Step 1: Measure the width of your window.

Step 2: The chart below provides guidance for making an allowance either side of your window for your curtain stack (shown as ‘B’ on the diagram above).  This is particularly important if you want the curtains to clear the glazing when open.  Please note the curtain heading, fabric thickness and lining specification will affect the width of the stack back.  How much you would like the curtains to clear the window is down to personal preference.  The chart below is however a good guide.

Step 3: Add the width of your window onto the B measurement (x2 for a pair of curtains) to give you a finished pole length (A).

Please note this is just a guide so we recommend choosing the pole length available within your preferred curtain pole range that best suits your requirements.  All poles can be cut to size with a junior hacksaw.  We offer a cut to size service on the Jones Handcrafted range.

Whilst we will endeavour to fulfil our delivery promises once the goods leave our warehouse we do rely on 3rd parties to fulfil their obligations.  We therefore recommend that a fitter or decorator isn’t booked until the goods are safely in your hands and have been checked for damage and any missing items.  We cannot be held responsible for any fitter or decorator cancellations.
