The Silent Gliss 1070 curtain track is a hand operated, light weight, white aluminium curtain track for ceiling fixing only. Square shaped profile. Suitable for light to medium weight curtains. This track can be made to your exact length at no extra cost. This track comes complete with standard gliders, brackets and fixings. 16 gliders are supplied per metre as standard.
Corded or hand drawn: this is a hand drawn curtain track.
Weight suitability: this track is suitable for medium weight curtains. If your curtains are on the heavy side we would recommend you upgrade to the Silent Gliss 1280 Curtain track.
Suitable for wave curtains: this track isn’t compatible with wave curtains. If you require a curtain track suitable for wave curtains we would recommend you consider the Silent Gliss 6010 Curtain track.
Max Length: 1200cm. Tracks up to 6m will be supplied as a single piece (unless advised otherwise). If you require a length over 6m you will need to purchase 2 tracks and a connecting bridge.
Cut to size service: we offer a free cut to size service on this track.
Leadtime: 3-4 working days
This track is only suitable for ceiling fixing and is supplied with the 3060 ceiling fix clamp style bracket.
To calculate the number of brackets you will receive with your track as standard take your track length /100 times it by 3.3 add one and round up to the nearest whole. For example on a 200cm track you will receive 8 brackets (200/100 x 3.3,+1 round up).
16 standard gliders per metre are supplied with this curtain track as standard (product code 3533). You can add extra gliders to your track if required.

Once we receive your order, we will run the diagram through our software. If any of the measurements are outside of our tolerance we will get in touch to ask you to remeasure.

Measuring Guide for a Curtain Track:
Decide where the track is to be positioned. This is usually above the window with the track extending either side beyond the window.
Step 1: Measure the width of your window.
Step 2: The chart below provides guidance for making an allowance either side of your window for your curtain stack (shown as ‘B’ on the diagram above). This is particularly important if you want the curtains to clear the glazing when open. Please note the curtain heading, fabric thickness and lining specification will affect the width of the stack back. How much you would like the curtains to clear the window is down to personal preference. The chart below however is a good guide.
Step 3: Add the width of your window onto the ‘B’ measurement (x 2 for a pair of curtains) to give you the finished track length (A).
Recess Fitting
If you are fitting your track wall to wall or within a recess we recommend you take the wall to wall measurement and deduct 1cm for hand drawn and corded tracks to ensure the track can be fitted easily within the recess. For motorised tracks we recommend you deduct 2cm from your wall to wall measurement to ensure enough space to fit the curtain around the motor.

We therefore recommend that a fitter or decorator isn’t booked until the goods are safely in your hands and have been checked for damage and any missing items.
