Jones Grande 63mm Handcrafted Wooden Curtain Poles
This is a premium range of curtain poles from Jones Interiors designed to make a statement. Grand designs in grand colours finished by skilled craftsmen makes this a truly premium range. These poles work particularly well in large rooms with tall ceilings. They also balance rich and opulent fabrics. Please view our YouTube video for more information on the poles.
Lead-time: Please note Jones hold some components painted / stained to the available colours in stock, however if any item does need painting / staining, as these are finished by hand in Jones’ workshop in Nottingham there is a 1 week lead-time. Once an order is placed we will be in touch to confirm a delivery date. If the goods are in stock in the colour / finish you require delivery will be 1-2 days.
Please note the 6m poles are only suitable for light to medium weight curtains as the poles may bow with the weight of heavier curtains. Additional brackets can be used to support the poles but the rings won’t passover the brackets so 4 curtains would be required.
Curtain Pole Contents
This pole set comes complete with 2 classic Acanthus style finials, pole(s), brackets and rings. 10 rings per metre are supplied as standard. Poles lengths exclude the finials and poles 240cm and over are supplied with a centre bracket. Poles over 300cm are supplied in two pieces with a joining screw. Additional brackets and rings can be purchased separately. Metal brackets are also available. If you are interested in the metal brackets please give us a call and we can provide a quotation for you. Co-ordinating holdbacks complete the look and draw rods are also available enabling you to open and close your curtains without touching them. This pole can be cut to your exact size for a small charge.

Poles up to 300cm are supplied as a single pole. Poles over 300cm are supplied in 2 pieces with a joining screw to connect the 2 poles. The joining screw goes inside the poles so is hidden and the centre bracket supports the join.

Curtain Heading Recommendations
A 63mm curtain pole works exceptionally well with tall ceilings or extra wide windows and with heavy fabrics. Floor length, interlined curtains complement the wide diameter of this pole to deliver an opulent, yet well proportioned look.
Readymade pencil pleat curtains are suitable, however made to measure curtains that can be interlined are more suited to the look of this pole to deliver a real wow statement at your window.
Double or Triple Pinch Pleat Heading
A double or triple pinch pleat curtain heading is a popular choice with floor length, inter-lined, curtains that will drape beautifully. A double pinch pleat offers a more modern look, with a triple pinch pleat delivering a window dressing that is timeless and luxurious.
Eyelet curtains are not suitable for this diameter of pole.

Measuring Guide for a Curtain Pole:
Decide where the pole is to be positioned. This is usually above the window with the pole extending either side beyond the window.
Step 1: Measure the width of your window.
Step 2: The chart below provides guidance for making an allowance either side of your window for your curtain stack (shown as ‘B’ on the diagram above). This is particularly important if you want the curtains to clear the glazing when open. Please note the curtain heading, fabric thickness and lining specification will affect the width of the stack back. How much you would like the curtains to clear the window is down to personal preference. The chart below is however a good guide.
Step 3: Add the width of your window onto the B measurement (x2 for a pair of curtains) to give you a finished pole length (A).
Please note this is just a guide so we recommend choosing the pole length available within your preferred curtain pole range that best suits your requirements. All poles can be cut to size with a junior hacksaw. We offer a cut to size service on the Jones Handcrafted range.

Whilst we will endeavour to fulfil our delivery promises once the goods leave our warehouse we do rely on 3rd parties to fulfil their obligations. We therefore recommend that a fitter or decorator isn’t booked until the goods are safely in your hands and have been checked for damage and any missing items. We cannot be held responsible for any fitter or decorator cancellations.
