Silent Gliss Metropoles can be ceiling (top) fixed or wall (face) fixed and they offer a range of brackets to suit different personal styles, window shapes and special requirements.
Ceiling Fixing a Silent Gliss Metropole
A 3mm top fixing plate is supplied as the standard top fix bracket for the 23mm, 30mm Metropole and for the 36mm Metroflat, which deliver a flush fit to a ceiling or window reveal. A 9mm top fixing plate is supplied as standard on a 50mm Metropole to allow for the thicker diameter of the pole. If you would like your Metropole to feature a finial a top fix bracket or ceiling hanger may be more suited as this will lower the Metropole from the ceiling allowing space for the finial to be more visible. These brackets may also offer practical benefits in some situations that may not be suited to the top fix plate option.

Wall Fixing a Silent Gliss Metropole
The standard smart fix wall brackets are supplied as the standard face fix bracket for the 23mm, 30mm Metropole and for the 36mm Metroflat. These are available with a 60mm, 80mm or 100mm projection. If you have a wide windowsill, or would like the curtains to hang in front of a radiator, the longer brackets may be advantageous and better suit your requirements. These brackets are easy to install and feature a magnetic cover plate to conceal the fixings for a stylish finish. All brackets are colour matched to your Metropole.
60mm smart fix bracket – is supplied as standard with standard or roller gliders. These are suitable for all curtain heading styles except wave curtains. Please note eyelet curtains are not compatible with Metropoles and need to be fitted on a curtain pole.
80mm smart fix brackets are supplied as standard with 60mm wave gliders to ensure the folds on the wave don’t rub on the walls.
100mm smart fix brackets are supplied as standard with 80mm wave gliders, allowing space the folds on the 80mm wave.
Square smart fix brackets are offered as an upgrade. These feature a horizontal fixing back plate making the bracket more discrete than the standard smart fix bracket. These can also be useful if space is limited for fixing the brackets. If ordering a pair of curtains we supply a standard smart fix bracket for each end of the track (as these will be hidden by the curtains) and we upgrade the outstanding brackets to the square style. For a single curtain we supply one standard bracket to be positioned at the end of the track where the curtains will stack, and upgrade the rest to the square style.
To accommodate the wider Metropole, the adjustable Maxi bracket is supplied as the standard wall fix option on a 50mm Metropole. The Maxi bracket can also be used on the 30mm Metropole and 36mm Metroflat.

Alternative Wall Fixing Options
For a contemporary look, Fillet style brackets are offered as an alternative to the smart fix and maxi brackets. Sleek lines flow into a tapered finish for a design led finish, complete with a magnetic cover plate colour matched to the pole. These are only recommended for straight poles.
Bay Windows
All Metropoles can be bent and made to fit your bay window. Please note we do need to bend the tracks for you as they can’t be bent by hand. Please download our bay window measuring form. Adjustable smart fix brackets are supplied as standard for bay windows on a 23mm and 30mm Metropole and on a 36mm Metroflat. Adjustable square style smart fix brackets are offered as an upgrade which are more discrete and useful if fixing space is limited. A standard smart fix bracket will be supplied for the ends of the tracks as these will be hidden by the curtains.
The adjustable Maxi bracket is supplied as the standard wall fix option for bay windows on a 50mm Metropole.
