Silent Gliss Alutex Fabric

Silent Gliss Alutex fabric is a high performance, semi transparent fabric with an aluminium reverse for increased solar reflection.  It has a lovely natural linen texture and beautifully combines style with functionality.  It has a denser weave than Aluscreen Futura so offers increased shading and privacy.  It also has acoustic properties so helps to absorb sound, which can be useful in rooms with high ceilings or lots of hard surfaces such as build in units and stone or wooden flooring that can help to bounce sound around the room.

It is a wide width fabric and is available up to a maximum width of 235cm, in 4 colours.  Darker colours, which typically absorb heat, are available.  We would always recommend a sample is ordered prior to purchase as colours can vary on screens.  Please see the Fabric Swatches tab to order any samples.  All Silent Gliss fabrics are dyed before being woven which provides increased colour fastness and reduced colour fading.

This fabric is flame retardant and is ideal for home or commercial spaces.  It has been optimised for workstations to help reduce glare.  It is also ideal for south facing rooms to keep an ambient temperature, as the aluminium backing reflects the solar rays and reduces heat absorption.

Applications

Silent Gliss’s Aluscreen Futura fabric is suitable for use on:

  • Vertical Blinds
  • Panel Glide Systems

Roller Blind Application

Please note that although the Silent Gliss roller blind systems have their own width and drop restrictions, some of the larger blind sizes may not be achievable due to the limitations on the fabric width.  Some fabrics can be turned to achieve a longer drop.  Please call us on 01590 615775 or email sales@thehomeofinteriors.co.uk for advice.  We can advise the most suitable roller blind system for your requirements.  If you are able to email dimensions and a photo of your window this is always helpful.  Please note this fabric isn’t suitable for the Silent Gliss 4905 roller blind system.

    Whilst we will endeavour to fulfil our delivery promises once the goods leave our warehouse we do rely on 3rd parties to fulfil their obligations.  We therefore recommend that a fitter or decorator isn’t booked until the goods are safely in your hands and have been checked for damage and any missing items.  We cannot be held responsible for any fitter or decorator cancellations.

    Prior to ordering!
