Jones Double Aluminium Hand Drawn Curtain Track Ceiling Fitted
The Jones double curtain track is a slim, discrete product from Jones Interiors, offering great versatility in its application. It is suitable for ceiling fixing so ideal for floor to ceiling curtains to deliver that hotel chic at home look. Although lightweight gliders are supplied on both channels the track is suitable for heavy curtains. Please see the recommended weight guide on our website.
The Jones Interiors Double track is great for:
– creating a deep overlap which is useful for blackout curtains. You can position a curtain on each channel to achieve the big overlap in the middle, which will help to reduce light ingress into your room.
– layering – alternatively you could position a voile on the back track with your main curtains on the front track. Please note these would need to be pencil pleat curtains as the channels are positioned close together.
– easy installation. There is a groove in the centre of the track that acts as a drill guide. To install this track you simply drill through the ceiling and track at the same time so no brackets are required. You can also screw anywhere along the track profile so can line up the screw positions with your ceiling joists for example.
We can cut this track to exact required length for a small charge. Please note this will add a day onto the standard 1-2 day leadtime. Alternatively the track can be cut to size at home using a junior hacksaw.

Bracket Text: These tracks can only be ceiling fitted and are fitted directly to the ceiling so brackets are not required. The groove channel enables easy installation and stops the drill from slipping. This means you can drill straight through the track into the ceiling. Can be ceiling recess fitted.
Measuring Guide for a Curtain Track:
Decide where the track is to be positioned. This is usually above the window with the track extending either side beyond the window.
Step 1: Measure the width of your window.
Step 2: The chart below provides guidance for making an allowance either side of your window for your curtain stack (shown as ‘B’ on the diagram above). This is particularly important if you want the curtains to clear the glazing when open. Please note the curtain heading, fabric thickness and lining specification will affect the width of the stack back. How much you would like the curtains to clear the window is down to personal preference. The chart below however is a good guide.
Step 3: Add the width of your window onto the ‘B’ measurement (x 2 for a pair of curtains) to give you the finished track length (A).
Recess Fitting
If you are fitting your track wall to wall or within a recess we recommend you take the wall to wall measurement and deduct 1cm for hand drawn and corded tracks to ensure the track can be fitted easily within the recess. For motorised tracks we recommend you deduct 2cm from your wall to wall measurement to ensure enough space to fit the curtain around the motor.
