Cameron Fuller offers a beautiful range of well-crafted metal and wooden curtain poles and track systems, all carefully designed and made in their Devon workshops.
These portiere rods can be used over a door to help eliminate drafts and insulate your room, or as a curtain pole in a dormer window where space is limited for a more traditional style of curtain pole. The portiere rods are available in a variety of finishes and finial styles, complementing traditional and modern interior design styles.

For use over a door:
The hinge attaches to the door frame or return wall (this can be fixed on the left or right hand side). The pole rests on a support bracket fixed on the door at the opposite end to the hinge bracket, that allows the door to open and close without moving the curtain. A second pole support is supplied and can be mounted on the return wall. The pole can then be lifted up and swung off the door and placed on that support when the curtain is not required across the door.
Please note that the curtain should be double sided as, when in the open position, the inside of the curtain will be clearly visible. These poles are only suitable for doors that open inwards (pull towards you).
For use in a dormer window:
This portiere rod can be used at a dormer window, or small recessed window, by attaching the hinge bracket to the adjacent wall to the window (either on the left or right hand side). The portiere rod swings into position to cover the window with a curtain when required, then swings back to the wall when not in use. For larger dormer windows you can fix 2 poles (one either side).
The portiere rods are supplied at a set length of 1.2m which can be cut down to size on site to fit your requirements.
The portiere rod kit contains:
- 1 x Portiere hinge/bracket (to be fixed to the door frame or return wall)
- 1 x 19mm 1.2m Pole (please note the pole length excludes the finial)
- 2 x Sliding brackets
- 1 x Finial
- 2 x Locking collars (to keep the curtain in place on the pole)
- 12 x Rings
- Fixings
