Blindspace – Hinged Cover Plate
Designed to Disappear
Blindspace hinged cover plate is ideal where a blind box profile can not be installed, this hinged cover plate provides a neat, easy to install alternative. Blinds are concealed by the hinged cover plate, with varying plate sizes to suite the installation method and size of your blind. The cover plate can be used in three different ways:
As an alternative to a blind box if your builder has created a boxed recess for blind fitting.
As a ceiling fixed pelmet to sit in front of the blind
As an alternative to blind boxes for a skylight, if your builder has created a boxed recess for blind fitting.
Fitting Tips:
As a general rule, blinds should be installed as close to the window as possible to minimize gaps on the sides of the blind. This will increase privacy whilst reducing light coming in and warm air circulating to the room.
If being used to replace a blind box, the recommended gap for the bottom bar to drop through is 35mm, so if possible select the cover plate that will allow this as a minimum.
It is important to allow for protruding door and window handles when configuring the blind gap close to the window.
RAL Colour Matching
All Blindspace profiles can be primed and painted on site, alternatively we can offer a colour matching service to any RAL reference. For the majority of colours a powder coating process is used, however for some special colours that are not available in powder coat, a durable wet spray paint will be applied. The Standard profiles are supplied in RAL 9003 30% gloss.
