A guide to the best selling New House Textiles roller blind fabrics:

Sheer / Voile fabrics:

Sheer / voile roller blind fabrics offer a delicate balance of privacy and light.  Their translucent nature allows natural light to filter into your space while still providing some privacy.  These fabrics can create a soft, diffused atmosphere, making them ideal for kitchens and living rooms, or any area of your home where you want a gentle, inviting ambiance.  They are also popular fitted inside a recess and layered with a roman blind or curtains on the outside of the recess to add depth and dimension to your interiors.

The Voile fabric from Louvolite is a popular choice.  It is available in a range of contemporary neutral colours, along with more vibrant colours to co-ordinate with your interiors.

Nimbus, Ciro and Cosmo are popular choices from the New House Textiles portfolio.  The Nimbus fabric is a delicately woven voile fabric with a soft feel to it.  If you are looking for something more textured Ciro is a good choice, featuring a soft speckled slub weave that gives it a linen look.  Cosmo features a very subtle shimmer that catches the light beautifully, adding interest to your windows.  If you are looking for more of a statement sheer / voile roller blind fabric the New House Textiles’ Grand Colonial fabric is worth considering featuring a stunning stripe in its design.

Standard Roller Blind Fabrics:

Standard roller blind fabrics, also referred to as daylight fabrics, offer more privacy and shading than sheer / voile fabrics yet still allow natural daylight to gently diffuse your room.  They are an ideal choice for any room in your home.

The Carnival fabric is Louvolite’s best selling plain fabric; available in a plethora of colours to suit a variety of interior design colour schemes.  It is made from recycled materials so is a more sustainable choice.  Other popular plain daylight fabrics from Louvolite include Tiree, Iona and Oxley.   They feature a slightly different weave and available in subtle shade differences.  If you are looking for a plain daylight roller blind fabric in blue for example we would recommend ordering a sample from each of these ranges to compare.  For extra wide windows and large expanses of glazing, Oxley is 300cm wide so a perfect choice.  Finally, Oslo adds depth and dimension to your interiors featuring two tone colours in the weave, whereas Hampton is a multi-tonal, textured fabric and a popular choice for a relaxed coastal look.

The Canvas fabric from New House Textiles is a go-to choice.  It is available in a wide range of colours and is a beautifully soft fabric bringing an air of sophistication to your windows.  New House Textiles’ Japanese Linen is a truly stunning choice.  The fabric has been woven using a special technique, and although the fabric is 100% polyester it looks and feels like a natural linen fabric.  We would highly recommend ordering samples of this fabric so you can see and feel how beautifully soft it is.  New House Textiles’ Hopsack fabric is another good option, and at 235cm wide is ideal for extra wide windows or for blinds across sliding or bi-fold doors.

Blackout Roller Blind Fabrics:

The Carnival fabric from Louvolite is also available as a blackout fabric and proves to be a best selling fabric with blackout properties.  Louvolite’s Tiree, Iona and Oxley are also available in a blackout fabric and are popular choices.  Like the standard daylight fabrics, Oxley is 300cm wide so ideal for extra wide windows or for blinds across bi-fold and sliding doors.  For added dimension and to elevate your window dressing, Louvolite’s Shot Silk fabric features subtle slubs resembling natural silk.  For a waterproof blackout option, Louvolite’s Ex-lite fabric features a colour matched reverse for a uniform look inside and out.  It has a 72% PVC content so is suitable for all areas of the home including humid areas such as kitchens and bathrooms.

The best selling blackout fabric from New House Textiles is Canvas featuring a sophisticated weave with a soft handle.  It is available in a wide range of contemporary colours and is 230cm wide making it an ideal choice for large expanses of glazing.  Coma and Polar are also popular choices featuring a slightly different weave and colour tones.
