The natural beauty of wood combined with the crisp, clean lines of horizontal slats bring a natural warm texture to a room and can be a great focal point.
As well as being desirable, they’re easy to dust & wipe making them ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. Simply tilt, raise or lower the slats for fantastic light control. We use the finest ecologically approved Basswood slats as they are hard-wearing, tight-grained wood and able to resist the bowing associated with some timber blinds.
Our made to measure Venetian blinds are available in both 25mm and 50mm and they come in a wide range of light and dark woods, cream grey, white and black coloured slats which are either painted or stained ends to add an extra finish to the blind.
25mm Slats
This option offers a denser look and is suited to smaller windows, where a 50mm system may look out of place. Motorised lift & tilt is available for blinds up to 2sqm. Please be aware that some ladder tapes and some colour options are not available for 25mm slats.
50mm Slats
This is the more popular choice offering a substantial yet clutter free appearance. Motorised tilt with cord raise/lower is available for all blinds. All colour options and ladder tapes are available for 50mm slats.
Standard cords or ladder tapes?
Blinds are finished with co-ordinating ladder braid which is functional and unobtrusive. To further enhance your blind, an attractive woven “ladder tape” is available as an option.
Standard Cord / Ladder Tape
Wood venetian blinds are supplied with a matching pelmet in the same colour as your chosen slat. If you specify a blind to be fitted inside a recess, a front pelmet will be supplied. If you specify outside the recess, you have the option of a rebated pelmet to cover either side of your blind.
Upgrade to Somfy Motorised
There are two control options for motorised wood venetian blinds
Tilt and Raise – allows you to tilt the slats, raise and lower your blind by remote control. this option is only available on 25mm slats.
Tilt only – allows you to tilt the slats by remote control. A cord is used to raise and lower your blind. This option is available on 25mm and 50mm slats.

Choosing the power supply for your electric wood venetian blind
You have several options available to you when selecting your blind power supply:
Mains adaptor Somfy Mains Plug-In Power Pack is a simple plug-in power pack that provides a dedicated power feed to the motorised blind. The power pack plugs into a standard mains socket outlet, with the supply cable connecting directly with the motor. This solution will require a socket outlet within 3M of the motorised blind. Please be aware that this option cannot be hard wired. If you require a hard wired roman headrail, please contact us for assistance.
Rechargeable Li-ion battery pack (standard option) Rechargeable Li-ion battery pack for a Somfy WireFree powered blind. The rechargeable Li-ion battery pack simply connects to the motor to provide the power supply. Once the battery power expires, simply disconnect from the motor, charge back up and reconnect for continued operation. (NOTE: Battery charger supplied separately.)
Battery pack Somfy lithium battery pack for WireFree motorised blind. This battery pack comprises of – a Somfy reloadable battery tube – 8 x AA lithium batteries – Supplied with battery tube mounting clips.
Solar pack The compact Somfy solar panel is designed to fit behind the blind on the inner window pane and continually charge the battery during daylight. The 12V rechargeable battery pack connects to the solar panel with simple plug in connector. The battery supply cable then plugs into the motor to make the power connection complete. This solar pack comprises of: – Solar panel – Somfy reloadable NiMH battery tube – 10 x AA NiMH rechargeable batteries – Adhesive strips to secure the solar panel to the inner window pane – Battery mounting clips.
No Power Supply Warning: only select this option if you already have a Somfy Power Supply Your electric blind will not operate if you do not have a power supply connected to the motor.
Revolutionising Home Comfort Control
Radio Technology Somfy® (RTS) is Somfy’s exclusive control platform which enables users to adjust motorised interior window coverings and motorised exterior products such as awnings, rolling shutters, pergolas and screens from virtually anywhere.
Convenience
RTS is omnidirectional and travels through walls making controlling motorized products easy. You don’t necessarily have to be in the same room as your motorised product(s), or aim at them in order to operate.
No extra wires are needed.
Features Somfy’s exclusive “my” function, which allows you to program a preferred product position.
You can mix and match controls as you wish. Use a fixed wall switch or a remote or use both.
Provides the ability to change user preferences anytime with simplified programming.

This multi channel wall switch can control multiple RTS products individually and as a group. In addition to the 4 individual channels, you can create temporary groups by selecting a combination of the 4 channels. The relevant led’s are pressed to select a temporary group, then the direction or stop button is pressed to operate the blinds. The command signals are sent consecutively to each channel, with the corresponding channel led blinking during operation.
The three control buttons provide raise, lower and stop control functionality. A favourite position can also be programmed and recalled at the touch of a button (‘my’ button).

Situo 1 RTS HAND-HELD REMOTES
Situo hand-held remotes offer convenient and simple operation of every type of motorised application. Single channel remotes can operate one individual product or one group of motorised products.
Examples:
Use the single channel to operate the motorised blinds above your sink.
Use the single channel to operate the group of motorised roman blinds in your dining room, to raise and lower them at the same time.
SITUO 5 RTS MULTI-CHANNEL HAND-HELD REMOTES
Five channel remotes offer more functionality because they offer an additional 5 channels of control. Each channel can still operate one individual product, such as a single motorised curtain, or one group of motorised products, such as all the motorised blinds on the first floor. With a total of five channels, you can set the preferences that suit your life.
Examples:
Use channel one for your motorised curtain.
Use channel two for the motorised roman blind in your living room.
Use channel three for the motorised Curtains in your dining room.
Use channel four for the motorised roller blinds in the kitchen.
Use the fifth channel as a master to activate all of your motorised products.
For a venetian blind tilt systems we will specify the Situo VAR remotes.
Situo VAR 1 Channel Remote
A single channel remote with scroll wheel, for fine turning the position of your blind. Suitable for operating a single channel to control between 1 and 8 blinds at the same time, but not independently. For added convenience, you have the ability to program your favourite position using the MY button.
Situo VAR 4+1 Channel Remote
A 4+1 channel remote with scroll wheel, for fine turning the position of your blind. Suitable for operating 4 radio channels each controlling between 1 and 8 blinds, plus the option to control all 4 channels at the same time. How does it work?
