The Silent Gliss Metroflat range is a contemporary alternative to a curtain pole and looks more sophisticated than a traditional curtain track. It offers a simple and modern treatment to your window. The track profile is 36mm high (from top to bottom) and is available hand drawn in a choice of 10 contemporary colours with different 10 finial styles to choose from.  As the brackets fix from the top of the track the Metroflats are ideal for extra wide windows or bi-fold doors as you don’t need any passing brackets, so the curtains can run smoothly along the complete length of the pole.   The Metroflat tracks are available up to 6m (except for chrome that is only available up to 4m) as a single piece.  You can join 2 together with a connecting piece if you have an extra wide window or bi-fold door.

This track is supplied with the fused barrel walnut finials colour matched to your pole.  These are ideal for a simple and contemporary dressing for your curtains.  The walnut complements dark wooden furniture beautifully, and works well with brushed gold light switches, door handles and other golden toned home accessories.

This track is suitable for medium to heavy curtains.  It comes with the new patented 2C gliders as standard.  If your curtains are on the heavy side we would recommend you upgrade to roller gliders.  This track is compatible with the 60mm and 80mm wave gliders.  For more information on the wave heading please visit our blog post.

We supply the 60mm smart fix wall brackets, and the 6mm top fix ceiling brackets.  This is to ensure the finials don’t rub on the ceiling.  If you are ordering the track with wave gliders and are wall fixing we supply the 80mm smart fix bracket for the 60mm wave, and the 100mm smart fix bracket for the 80mm wave.  This is to ensure the curtains don’t rub on the wall with the wave style of heading.  The website gives you the option to upgrade to the longer smart fix brackets (80mm or 100mm) and also to upgrade to the square smart fix brackets.  Please see bracket tab for more information.

These tracks come with a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty.

Max Length: 600cm for all colours except chrome (400cm). If you require longer Metropoles please order 2 tracks and a connecting piece (found under accessories at the bottom of the product page).

Brackets: these Metropole tracks are supplied with the 60mm smart fix wall brackets or 6mm top fix ceiling brackets as standard.  We supply the tracks with the standard number of brackets recommended by Silent Gliss, colour matched to your pole.  To work out how many brackets you will receive the formula is: track length divided by 67, rounded up and add 1.  So for example on a track length of 250cm you will receive 5 brackets (250/67 rounded up +1).

If you need the track to project further away from the wall the website will give you the option to upgrade to the 80mm or 100mm smart fix brackets.

Square smart fix brackets: we also offer the option of upgrading to the square smart fix brackets.  This is a popular choice as the square smart fix brackets are concealed by the track profile.  If you order the tracks for a pair of curtains we will supply 2 standard smart fix brackets (one for each end of the track) as these will be concealed by the curtains.  The rest of the brackets will be square smart fix ones.  For a single curtain one standard smart fix bracket will be supplied (for the end of the track) and the rest will be square smart fix.

This track is available with the new 2C standard gliders (that are even quieter than the old standard gliders!), roller gliders or wave gliders.  14 2C (standard) gliders are supplier per metre and 10 roller gliders are supplier as standard per metre.  The number of wave gliders required will be calculated on the track length ordered.

How to measure and order:

  1. We recommend you measure along your walls / windows.  Add the measurements together along all the sides of your bay to get a total track length.  We will then project the track accordingly depending on the brackets ordered with the track.
  2. If you know the angles we don’t require the cross diagonal measurements (these are shown on the form attached), however we recommend you supply the measurement across the front of the bay as this is a cross check the angles are correct.  If you don’t know the angles please supply the cross diagonal measurements required (shown on the form) and our software will work out the angles.
  3. Place your order through the website.  The order process takes you step by step through your purchase.
  4. Once we receive your order we will run the diagram through our software.  If any of the measurements are outside of our tolerance we will get in touch and ask you to remeasure.

We offer free delivery on all orders over £97.50.  There is a £7.95 delivery charge on orders under this value.  Please refer to our delivery Ts and Cs for a full breakdown of our delivery charges.

LEADTIMES:

The leadtimes vary depending on the product ordered.  Please refer to the Leadtime on the product specification tab for information on the particular product you are looking at.  If the product is available on  a ’Next working day’ service this applies to all orders received up to 6pm.  Please note there is a 4pm cut off for any Jones products.  Any orders placed over the weekend will be dispatched on the Monday for delivery to you on the Tuesday.

Please note the next working day service is subject to stock availability.  If there are any stock shortages we will notify you immediately and work with you to find a suitable solution to meet your requirements. If you don’t want delivery the next day please call us on 01590 615775 to place your order over the phone and we and we can set up delivery for your nominated day.

Whilst we will endeavour to fulfil our delivery promises once the goods leave our warehouse we do rely on 3rd parties to fulfil their obligations.  We therefore recommend that a fitter isn’t booked until the goods are safely in your hands and have been checked for damage and any missing items.  We cannot be held responsible for any fitter cancellations.

We hope that you are delighted with your purchase.  In the event that you are not and would like to return your goods we accept returns (except for made to measure products which cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty) within 30 days of delivery.

There is an £18 collection charge to return curtain pole or curtain track orders. We appreciate this is a lot of money but this is what our couriers charge us. Curtain poles and tracks are classified as ‘oversized’ items and so they incur a premium for handling long parcels.

To return and obtain a refund (excluding delivery costs) please email us at sales@thehomeofinteriors.co.uk or give us a call us on 01590 615775. We will then contact you to organise the collection / return. Failure to notify us may result in no refund or an additional cost to forward your returned item/s to the correct address.

Any products you return will be at your own cost and the goods must be in the same condition which they were received.  The goods must be in their original packaging.  The goods are your responsibility until they reach us so please make sure any returned items are very well packaged to avoid damage while in transit. Please ensure the returns reference, which will have been emailed to you, is clearly marked on the outside of the parcel.  We recommend you use the outer packaging the goods were delivered in.

If on receipt of the goods we inspect them and conclude that they are not in the same condition they were sent out in we will not be able to provide a refund. We will notify you if this is the case.

The refund, minus the original delivery charge and minus the collection charge, is usually actioned within a week of the items being returned but it can take up to 30 days. The refund will be made back to the account that the original purchase was made from.

Accessories
